For lunch, we went to Toast, a small cozy restaurant also in Carmel Valley. The place was once owned by Emily and Isabella’s (little kids) grandfather. The ambiance was dreamy and the food is sooooo good. I can just imagine myself going back there, eat mozzarella and drink rootbeer all day. But I can’t because I will get fat (or fatter, which ever suits you).
