Carmel Missions and Carmel Plaza

After Spanish Bay, my sister and I went to Carmel Mission, the home of the Blessed Junipero Serra, the founder of the Missions. The Missions were the first settlements of civilized man in California.

Carmel Mission addresses the history of California’s most important heritage sites: The Basilica Church, the Harry Downie Museum, the Munrás Family Heritage Museum, Jo Mora Chapel Gallery and the Convento Museum.

And finally after a long day of walking, we stopped by Carmel Plaza to roam around the shops and to have a cup of coffee.
