Lulu Tan-Gan Holiday 2011: Pineapple in the Big Apple

One of the things that I am really considering in packing for my upcoming trip to NYC is to carry with me certain pieces from Filipino designers and showcase their creativity in the international market. And of course, of  one of the designers that I truly adore every since I was little girl was Lulu Tan-Gan.

Lulu Tan-Gan is one of the most iconic name in the Filipino fashion industry. Tan-Gan has been synonymous to Knitwear since 1985. Known as the “Queen of Knits”, Lulu’s knitwear has always been confident and fashionable, perfect for the modern female.

Lulu Tan-Gan continues to bring fashion in a more challenging platform.  She broadened her fashion perspective by introducing a creative merge between her famous knits with traditional Filipino textile, the pina. In her Holiday 2011 collection, Lulu takes a step in bringing traditional Filipino clothing into a global street style phenomenon.

Lulu has always been consistent in her signature of creating fashion that is travel friendly, taking the pain in creating Pinawear just as easy as packing and handling TAN-GAN knits and the best part of it all is it’s all modern!

This new Pinawear collection includes pina-knit creations that can easily be worn whichever way you wanted and wherever you wanted. From parties to a casual day at the mall, truly, Lulu’s Pinawear definitely is a must have for this season!

And yes, I am very excited to take Lulu’s pinawear in the streets of NYC, so keep posted on my next outfit posts to come!

TAN-GAN is available at L Manila, 2/f  – Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center and TAN-GAN, 2/f Bldg. A Megamall. For inquiries visit or email
